Welcome to Troop 117 - Preparing Boys for Life since 1958

Are you looking for a great way for your son to develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that will influence their adult lives?  Scouting provides an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and make lasting friendships all while having fun.

Troop 117 serves boys ages 11 through 17 from Whitpain, Plymouth Meeting, Whitemarsh and Conshohocken and is one of the most active Troops in the Baden-Powell District of the Cradle of Liberty Council.  We currently have 35+ scouts and 10 assistant scoutmasters.  Our Troop is a welcoming environment for youth of all ability levels, religions, and interests.  Over 110 Scouts from Troop 117 have become Eagle Scouts, including over 30 in the past decade, well above the national average of 4% of all Scouts.
